31 Day Challenge: Day 1: Red Nails

So have started the challenge. I NEVER done red nails before, I don't know why I haven't, I love the way they turned out.

I started out with a base red that I had gotten in a makeup package, that I thought was really cheap, but it went on great. It was very smooth and bright. I forgot to take a picture of just the base red, but I can tell you that it is call Goldie. Next was Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Very Cherry. It gave it a nice sparkle.

I think i might add a black stripe to it, just for something a little different.

been gone

I got new polish in the mail the other day, I haven't been able to post anything, but i will try tomorrow night. It has been crazy round here with DH starting a new job, our bathroom being torn out and the baby. So i will post something new a.s.a.p prolly tomorrow during baby girls nap.

New day, new color

I did another teal today, this one was much lighter than yesterdays.
I started out with Sally's The Real Teal, again i can't seem to take a true color pic, but it's kinda close.

 When i learn how to take better pictures i will be happy. This is after 2 coats. I love most any teal.
I then add a layer of Sally Hansen HD Spectrum, just to add that little bit of sparkle. Instead of a shiny top coat i think a matte would look cool on this.

I love this I think its super pretty. If I decide to put a matte on it i will post it.

new polish...YaY!

Ok so I picked this up today while at target.It's called taunting teal, by SONIA KASHUK. It's not something i usually go for (i like sparkly) but i figured i would give it a try. I didn't really like how went on, it wasn't exactly the smoothest, imho, but once it was on i fell in love. It says its a teal but on me it looks more like a very dark blue. It could almost pass for a black.

Its much darker in person, it doesn't look so blue.

I know I don't take the best pic's I'm working on it. Again its much darker in person, I will take new photo's tomorrow in the sun light to see if that makes any difference in how the colors look.

 I took this while out side to day, again its a little bit darker than this. In regular light you can see more of the blue in it.

I have started this blog for myself. To get out all the ideas that are buzzing around in my head, to try different things and to meet other people who also enjoy nail polish and all things nail related. So smile pull out a bottle of nail polish and make today a little prettier.
